
- Acclaimed film, TV and stage actor Phyllida Law has died at the age of 94, her manager Jacky Leggo has confirmed.
- Law passed away supremely peacefully at home surrounded by all of her family.
- She was the mother of actors Emma and Sophie Thompson, frequently appearing alongside her daughters in films such as Peter's Friends, Emma and The Winter Guest.
- Her career began at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before establishing herself as a major stage performer in the 1960s and 1970s.
- She also starred in TV series including Kingdom and Doc Martin, and was awarded an OBE for services to drama and charitable causes in 2014.
