The yearly refresh for Acer’s iconic Aspire and Swift series laptops has been announced for CES 2026, and they are packing the systems more than ever to make them into ultra-light flagships.
On the mainstream side, the new Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI are the classics, now equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 or AMD Ryzen AI 9 processors, paired with up to 32 GB of memory and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage.
The 14-inch and 16-inch WUXGA displays come in 16:10 aspect ratios with refresh rates up to 120 Hz, and OLED options are available for users who want richer visuals. Acer has also kept things practical, with thin-and-light designs, large touchpads, and 180-degree hinges that let the laptops lie completely flat for collaboration.
You can also find 1080p FHD IR cameras, triple-mic arrays, and a solid selection of ports such as Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and Wi-Fi 6E or better.
Acer also included new AI-based tools for users to take advantage of, such as the Acer Intelligent Space that acts as a central hub for AI tools, AcerSense helps with system optimization, while PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice improve video calls with cleaner visuals and clearer audio. There’s also Acer My Key, which lets users assign custom shortcuts or quickly access Copilot+ PC features like Live Captions with real-time translation.
The thin and light Swift AI family continues the path of premium plus performance, with the Swift 16 AI sitting at the top as the flagship, built from aluminum and powered by up to Intel Core Ultra X9 processors with Intel Arc graphics.
The super large haptic touchpad with stylus input support allows creators to sketch, animate, or edit directly on the surface, paired with a 16-inch 3K OLED touch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 color coverage. Audio is handled by DTS:X Ultra speakers, while Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 4 round out the connectivity.
Meanwhile, the Swift Edge AI lineup combines ultra-thin designs with MIL-STD 810H durability, powerful processing with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, OLED displays with 120 Hz refresh rates, Wi-Fi 7, and a full set of modern ports. Built-in FHD IR cameras with Human Presence Detection and AI noise cancellation make them particularly appealing for professionals who are constantly on the move.
For users who want something more balanced, the Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI sit neatly in the middle. Available with both Intel and AMD Ryzen AI configurations, these laptops combine slim aluminum designs, 180-degree hinges, high-resolution OLED display options, and 5 MP IR cameras with HDR and presence detection.
On the AMD side, Acer is also extending Ryzen AI 400 Series processors across its lineup, including the Swift Go 16 AI, Aspire 14 AI, and Aspire 16 AI, offering strong AI performance and multi-day battery life.
