Kota Kinabalu: The Magistrate Court here has allowed one-day remand to an activist to facilitate police investigation under Sedition Act, Penal Code and Multimedia and Communication Act 1998.
Magistrate Wan Farah Farriza binti Wan Ghazali only granted for one-day remand for the activist after the prosecutor applied for four days to remand him.
AdvertisementState Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun, who confirmed the remand, told Daily Express, when contacted on Tuesday that police prosecutor applied for four days.
He said the activist surrendered himself at Penampang Police station at 5.30pm on Monday.
