Malaysian actor Kamal Adli was viciously and repeatedly attacked by an obsessive fan with an axe, leaving massive wounds on the back of his head as well as his body.
The incident happened during his Singapore tour promoting his dual venture with his wife at a public event. The event took a bloody turn when a strange man approached the actor pretending to ask for a picture before attacking him. Fans questioned how a man carrying a weapon could have been let loose at such a big scale event.
According to his wife actress Uqasha Senrose, the actor suffered deep wounds at the back of his head and had to be put under general anesthesia prior to his major operation. She also mentioned that the perpetrator had previously sent a threatening text message wanting to harm the actor. His motive was reportedly jealousy-driven over the actor marrying Uqasha Senrose.
