PROF Dr Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan Abdullah, 57, husband of the late actress Nadia Kesuma, 50, confirmed early this morning that the funeral of his wife will take place following the Fajr prayers (local time) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
He shared the news in a Facebook post, providing details of the final rites.
"The body has been washed by our daughter, Sarah, and friends of the deceased, and the funeral prayer has been performed, with myself leading the prayer," he wrote.
"Alhamdulillah. The body will be buried after Fajr. It is now 1:33 am in Jeddah, and Fajr is at 5:44 am (10:44 am Malaysian time)," he added.
Muhammad Kamarul and their daughter Sarah had departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Jeddah at 5:35 pm yesterday to manage the burial arrangements for Nadia in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Muhammad Kamarul had confirmed that his wife passed away in Jeddah on 15 January.
The news of Nadia Kesuma’s death was initially shared by Anne Abdullah, President of Gagasan Transformasi Anak Seni (GTAS). Nadia had been reported missing after she could not be located at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah last Thursday. - January 19, 2026
