Sporting CP have snapped up Adam Arvelo from Real Madrid.
The 17 year-old prospect confirmed the move yesterday.
He posted to social media: "The time has come to leave. The time has come to leave the comfort zone.
"I have made this difficult decision and those of you who know me best know that I am one to move for challenges. And this is the moment and the opportunity.
"Thanks to the Real Madrid. For instilling in me their values, for impregnating me with their winning gene. I arrived as a child and I leave as a better player and a better person. Teammates, coaches, kit men, physios... Thanks to the people, who are the key to each club, the one that makes the day to day easier.
"Thank you all."
Arvelo has signed with Sporting to 2025, with Real Madrid having first refusal.
