Leeds United star Tyler Adams has praised the club's fans for helping him settle in his new surroundings.

The American midfielder has been outstanding so far this season for Jesse Marsch's team.

Leeds narrowly avoided relegation last term, but have started this campaign with a lot more intent and purpose.

"Everything's obviously different than New York but it's definitely a positive from Leipzig that's for sure," said Adams, per Leeds Live.

"I'm enjoying it a lot. Just being around my native language again and being able to go out and speak to people on the streets, have conversations comfortably, go into grocery stores and not have to worry about having to speak German anymore is really nice. The people have been amazing and I'm enjoying it a lot.

"The fans have been amazing. I feel like I'm not a very highly recognisable person. I'm a very low key person so I definitely don't seek that sort of attention. Whenever I go out and about people are very friendly if they recognise you, they say what they like, what they don't like - it's brutally honest but I like it!

"It's just been exciting to see again how positive the fans are here and how they react, whether thats to attack or the energy you bring to the pitch. The support at Elland Road speaks for itself but I'm more impressed with how far the support goes."
