'Additional RM1.61 billion reflects commitment to development'

RANAU: The Sabah Government remains committed to advancing its development agenda following the approval of an additional RM1.61 billion allocation covering contributions, operational expenditure and development at the recent State Legislative Assembly sitting.

Political Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister and State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, Johari Suhaimin, said the additional allocation reflected the Government's commitment to improving public service delivery, ensuring smooth administration and continuing development programmes across the State.

Johari said the Government would continue prioritising infrastructure development, public facilities and projects aimed at improving the quality of life, particularly in rural areas.

He said the development allocation would be fully utilised to ensure the people continued to benefit from inclusive and comprehensive development.

Johari said this after officiating the opening of the Kampung Longut Baru Multipurpose Hall, adding that the facility reflected the State Government's commitment to providing amenities that directly benefit the community while serving as a venue for community activities and social programmes.
