Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) supported the action taken by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac) to revoke an operator license for refusing to refund travellers’ deposits.
Satta also warned operators who sell charter flight packages before obtaining approval from the Transport Ministry and Department of Civil Aviation.
“Without approval, it meant the flights didn’t exist. This can be regarded as a scam, as travel agents are collecting deposits,” said Liaw.
