KUALA LUMPUR – Popular luxury bus operator Aeroline has been suspended for one month after being found guilty of repeated violations for operating outside approved terminals, confirmed the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) today.

The suspension, which affects all express bus services operated by Zulco Sdn Bhd, will take effect from November 6 to December 5.

In a statement, APAD said the action was taken after the operator was found to have misused its operating licence by picking up and dropping off passengers at unauthorised locations.

The agency added that the company’s buses were also found to have been operating outside approved terminals without APAD’s permission on February 3, May 21, and October 10.

“APAD emphasises that the suspension of the Operator’s Licence and Vehicle Permit is in accordance with Section 27 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010, as the company failed to comply with the conditions of its licence, particularly Articles 16 and 19 of the General Terms for Express Bus Service Level Requirements,” the statement said.

APAD said the Licence Suspension and Cancellation Committee had, on October 21, determined that the company was guilty of repeated violations and imposed a 30-day suspension of its operating licence.

As a result, Zulco Sdn Bhd is prohibited from operating any services under the suspended licence during this period.

“This action is aimed at ensuring passenger safety, reducing traffic congestion in urban areas, and supporting the efforts of local authorities, including Kuala Lumpur City Hall and other municipal bodies, to create a more orderly, safe, and efficient urban environment,” APAD said.

The agency added that the company had been repeatedly advised to move its operations to approved terminals but failed to comply, leading to three show-cause letters being issued between March 13 and October 10 for repeated violations.

Aeroline, known for its premium interstate services connecting Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Singapore, has since announced it is appealing the decision, describing the suspension as abrupt and expressing regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers. — November 2, 2025
