- A final majority could see the AfD form the first far-right regional government in Germany since the Second World War, though rival parties have previously refused coalition talks.
- AfD lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund stated he is open to working with other democratic forces, whilst stressing that key positions on migration and domestic security are non-negotiable.
- The party plans to introduce strict anti-immigration measures, accelerate deportations, separate refugee children in schools, and restrict Islamic expression.
