AGC to review evidence in KLIA altercation involving Border Control Chief

ATTORNEY General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar has confirmed receiving the police investigation paper concerning the incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1, assuring that all compiled evidence will undergo detailed scrutiny.

"The Attorney General’s Chambers will examine every aspect of the investigation before any further action can be taken regarding this case," Mohd Dusuki said today.

The Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department submitted its findings to prosecutors for review, advice, and further direction under Article 145(3) of the Federal Constitution following the September 28 incident.

Investigators have recorded statements from 25 witnesses as part of probe initiated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

The legal review follows widespread dissemination of video footage showing Mohd Shuhaily allegedly reprimanding two individuals at the terminal, after which the border agency chief stated he would abide by any decision made by the government. - October 6, 2026
