Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko was not able to secure a move away from the club.
The defensive midfielder is on loan at AC Milan at present, where he is not playing regularly.
He has not played for Chelsea in years, but has a contract for another 18 months.
Per the Evening Standard, a move to take him to Lyon fell apart on deadline day.
His agent Federico Pastorello confirmed the issues that came up between all the clubs involved.
Bakayoko couldn't join Cremonese due to a few issues," he told Sky Italia.
