The agent of Igor Tudor has explained why an agreement couldn't be found with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis.
After sacking Rudi Garcia, De Laurentiis first moved for Tudor before appointing Walter Mazzarri as coach to June.
Anthony Seric told La Gazzetta della Sport: "The club has a very clear position: it wants a manager who aligns with the 4-3-3 and the discussions have focused on how to develop it.
"However, if we talk about Tudor, we are aware of the type of dynamic game he offers with wingers across the board.
"If a club of this calibre calls him, it's wonderful, but it depends on what is needed and in what way. I think it was best to listen with interest to a proposal from De Laurentiis. Igor is phenomenal, he is certainly among the top in Italy. But no disappointment. They were just two ideas that were too different to be compatible."
