The agent of Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has denied a move to Rennes fell through over fitness concerns.
Rennes coach Bruno Genesio confirmed last week he wanted to sign his former Lyon star, but conceded some of the top brass had their doubts.
Agent Arturo Canales has declared "totally false" claims Umtiti had failed a Rennes medical.
"When the lie takes the elevator, the truth takes the stairs, it takes longer, but it always ends up arriving," he said.
Mundo Deportivo says Barca and Rennes remain in talks over a deal for the Frenchman.
