Some aging politicians have launched a renewed fearmongering campaign about the urgent threat of the people in this land losing their land to others — a threat that is non existence with no meaningful relevance to the future of the next generation of Malaysians in this country.
This is just the latest in a string of rhetoric from these aging politicians as they tries to drum up fear about progressive Malaysians to prevent massive losses in the elections, both in Johor and Negeri Sembilan and possibly Melaka before the next General elections i.e the 16th GE.
Non Muslims – approximately 30% - are a minority in Malaysian politics, and conflating them with the Muslim losing this country to them is absurd.
These aging politicians have spent more than half their life fear mongering and at least within the confines of the Malay, they appear to have been remarkably successful at it.
Unless they have information which they refused to share with the public, this country is so very, very, very, very, VERY far from this happening.
They want that general population to view it as a threat whereas to those thinking Malaysians, it is just a sign of weak-minded cowardice and jumping-at-shadows paranoia.
It’s kind of like reading about a bush fire in Nigeria and worrying that it’s going to burn its way across the world to show up on your doorstep.
But if others were in their position, others might be fearmongering about this too.
He lost relevance in politics where he used to rule with an iron fist before.
Many still hates he `engineered’ the collapse of the PH administration of the country in Feb 2020.
People are critical of his astonishing levels of corruption, widely documented in the book Malaysian Maverick.
It is not like he disagrees with the non Muslims on enough issues to take a real position of substance.
What else does he have in his arsenal besides vapid fearmongering about an imaginary boogie man?
The longest serving leader of the country can’t take a stand against the real problems within the majority race in this country because the power structure is the source of those problems.
So instead, he has to invent fictional monsters to fight.
Never have so few done so much damage to so many with so little ability to execute what they lied about.
