Sporting director Monchi is leaving Sevilla for Aston Villa.
After crunch talks with Sevilla board members yesterday, Monchi has been cleared to leave for the Premier League club.
Monchi is due in Birmingham as early as today to finalise personal terms.
Villa will pay 3m in compensation to Sevilla for Monchi, who is set to be replaced by former Leeds football chief Victor Orta.
Monchi leaves the club for the second time (in 2017 he moved to Rome), after winning 11 titles: 7 Europa Leagues, two Copa del Reys, a European Super Cup and a Supercopa de Espana.
