MANILA, Philippines—The Network for the Development of Agriculture Cooperatives in Asia and the Pacific (Nedac) will hold its International Stakeholders Summit from April 14 to 18 at the Holiday Inn Hotel Makati, bringing together key cooperative leaders from across the region.

Decision-makers from agricultural cooperatives in India, the Philippines, and other Nedac member countries are expected to attend the gathering, which aims to strengthen trade linkages and deepen cooperation among member organizations.

Dr. Michael Raymond Apacible Aragon, Philippine information coordinator for the summit, said participants will discuss opportunities in international markets, particularly in agricultural products and services, as well as strategies to expand cross-border partnerships.

The summit is also expected to produce a sustainable framework for collaboration among cooperatives, focusing on enhancing trade, strengthening networks, and building regional linkages. Organizers said the meeting will promote cooperativism as a means of empowering economies across Asia and the Pacific.

Discussions will also cover challenges affecting global markets, including the ongoing energy shock linked to the conflict in the Middle East, and how cooperative systems can respond through shared resources and coordinated strategies.
