A Piers Morgan interview with a popular AI actress took an odd turn after the computer-generated avatar began speaking Chinese.
Tilly Norwood, a character created by production company Particle6 who describes herself as the world’s first AI actress, was in conversation with Morgan and actor Tom Conti on Piers Morgan Uncensored when talk turned to her new feature film Misaligned.
When asked by Conti whether her co-stars on the project were human or AI, Norwood began a reply before pausing and unexpectedly switching to Cantonese, leaving Conti dumbfounded.
An account ostensibly run by the AI character later played off the moment on social media, saying: “You try speaking 30+ languages and see if you don't show off occasionally.”
