KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 31 — Malaysians aged between 18 and 30 can now redeem three months of ILMUchat Pro for free under the AI Untuk Rakyat programme. The offer is available to eligible Malaysians who complete the required AI training on the Rakyat Digital platform.
ILMUchat Pro normally costs RM50 per month, which means the three-month subscription is worth RM150. Participants will get unlimited usage during the free subscription period.
The initiative is driven by the Ministry of Digital and delivered in collaboration with YTL AI Labs and MyDIGITAL Corporation via Rakyat Digital.

The AI Untuk Rakyat programme targets 100,000 Malaysians aged between 18 and 30, which is inline with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement yesterday.
To qualify for the three-month ILMUchat Pro subscription, participants are required to log in to the Rakyat Digital platform and complete the required courses. After completing the courses, they can select ILMUchat Pro from their Rakyat Digital dashboard.
They will then be redirected to ILMUchat, where they are required to log in with MyDigital ID to verify their eligibility and activate the three-month free subscription.
The offer starts today, in conjunction with Malaysia’s Independence Day.
The AI Untuk Rakyat programme was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in July during the launch of AI Malaysia in Cyberjaya, alongside the National AI Action Plan 2026-2030.

ILMUchat is YTL AI Labs’ AI assistant designed around Malaysian languages and context. According to YTL AI Labs, it supports natural switching between Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese and Manglish.
Among the use cases highlighted are drafting emails and letters, searching for local services and businesses, creating posters and graphics, generating presentation slides and building working app prototypes without coding.
YTL AI Labs also says ILMUchat can assist with more locally relevant tasks such as PTPTN repayment queries, SME grant applications and job applications.
