KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) has notified passengers of possible flight rescheduling due to Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) training in the airspace near Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for the National Day parade.

In a post on X, MAHB said the airspace near KLIA will be closed from August 26 to 31, and advised passengers to arrive at their respective gates 30 minutes earlier.

"KLIA operations remain unaffected," the statement said.

Earlier today, RMAF announced its assets will conduct low-level tactical flight training from tomorrow until August 31 in conjunction with National Day celebrations at Dataran Putrajaya on August 31.

RMAF said these training activities will involve Selangor and Putrajaya airspace.

"RMAF has been entrusted to lead the aerial segment of the event, which includes aerial performances involving various categories of aircraft owned by RMAF and the army such as fighter jets, transport planes and helicopters," RMAF's statement today said. – August 26, 2024
