SHAH ALAM, July 13 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd has clarified they are indeed issuing water supply disconnection notices in the form of red tags bearing the company’s logo and a QR code that connects customers to their website.

In a Facebook post yesterday, it said the notice tags are issued to customers with outstanding bills, informing them of the disconnection of water service due to non-payment.

“For customers who do not have outstanding bills but still received the notice label, please contact Air Selangor at 15300 or make an enquiry at the Help Centre available at www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor app,” Air Selangor said.

The clarification comes in response to claims by netizens that their water supply had been cut off after finding these tags on their water meters.

Some have also alleged that scanning the QR code led them to a website that appeared to be the official Air Selangor website but was, in fact, not authentic.
