Most of us dread going to any government agencies or utilities agencies. The long waiting time, long queues, unfriendly staff, and so on.
Today I had an eye opening encounter that proved to me that there are still good services around. I went to Air Selangor office at Jalan Pantai Baharu to submit documents for water meter migration.
First of all, ample parking space. Looks like a good start. I went in, enquire to the Information counter about submitting my forms and documents. The lady at the information counter were very friendly. She goes through my forms and documents, telling me which part I needed to fill in more and correct some ticking areas.
All were well, then she asked me for photo of my old meter, adoi, I don't have it. Thinking I will need to go back to get the photo and come back again next time. But she was very helpful, she asked me to call my condominium management office and request a photo of the meter from them. I followed her instruction, got the management to send me photo of the old meter, and she snap a photo of it on her handphone. Then asked me to sit for awhile. After 5 minutes, she called me, and handed me all the forms and given me a Queue number to wait for the counter. And you know what, she printed the photo of the old meter for me!!! Can you imagine that! I am pretty sure if other agencies, they will ask me to go back home to get it and then come back next time. I was very impressed.
While waiting for my number, i was shocked! It's lunch hour, and all the counters are fully manned. I mean, each and every counter there are personnel manning it attending to customers non stop. Talk about efficiency. Never expected this from a utilities agency. Even when customers were rough and talking loud abit to the personnel, the personnel still able to maintain composure and talk to the customer politely. Very very impressive.
The whole process took less than 1 hour and I am out and able to go and pick up my kids on time.
This truly gives me a sense of positivity, that there are still hope in these kind of agencies to provide top notch customer service.
