MANILA, Philippines — AirAsia Philippines issued travel reminders for the summer peak season, highlighting baggage policies and seating arrangements for passengers traveling in groups.
The airline advised travelers to manage additional luggage, electronics, and seating preferences in advance to ensure smoother airport operations during the high-traffic period.
"To avoid higher last-minute charges, guests are advised to pre-book baggage and add-ons at least two hours before departure via the AirAsia MOVE app or the official website," AirAsia said.
The airline allows checked baggage ranging from 20 kilograms to 60 kilograms, with no limit on the number of bags, provided the total weight remains within the purchased allowance. For safety, no single checked bag may exceed 32 kilograms.
For carry-ons, passengers are entitled to two items within the standard seven-kilogram allowance (one cabin bag and one personal item).
Those needing extra space may opt for "Xtra Carry-On," which offers up to 14 kilograms for as low as P360 when pre-booked.
Fragile items such as glassware and electronics are accepted but must be properly packed, as they are carried at the owner's risk.
"For many Filipinos, travel is best shared with family and barkada. With AirAsia's 'Seat Together' option, guests can enjoy up to 50 percent savings compared to booking seats individually," AirAsia said.
Passengers in a single booking can select side-by-side seats for a more convenient and connected journey. To book, passengers can go to "Add-ons," select "Pick-a-Seat," toggle "Seat Together" on, and confirm their selection before proceeding to payment.
