CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the State Government will look at suggestions from several parties for help, especially Sabahan students studying at higher learning institutions (IPTs) in the peninsula, by subsidising their flight ticket fares to return to the State to vote in the general election.
“We’ll see first. Indeed, there were suggestions from several parties, especially students or Sabahans residing in the peninsula who may want to come home to vote (in GE15).
“So we may go through this matter later. So far, there is nothing more that we can announce. But we also want them to exercise their right to vote as citizens and also as voters in this coming GE,” he said.
He was asked about the suggestions for the Government to help by subsidising flight fares for Sabah students at IPTs in the peninsula so that they can come back to the State to vote in GE15.
