Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting Timber has agreed to move to the Gunners.
However, the Gunners and Ajax are yet to reach agreement over a fee for the stopper.
An opening bid of 30m has already been rejected by Ajax this week.
However, with Timber's commitment, there is confidence that Ajax will soon soften their stance.
