Al-Ettifaq coach Steven Gerrard has ruled out a move for Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood has been made available by Manchester United this week.
Speaking to the Daily Record, former Rangers boss Gerrard simply responded to the rumours with fake news".
Greenwood will leave United after an internal review was conducted following assault charges being dropped in February.
The forward is expected to resume his career outside of England.
