Al-Hilal goalkeeper Bono admits he had contact with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich when leaving Sevilla.
The Morocco international was considered at Real after they lost Thibaut Courtois for the season to an ACL injury.
"They told me that at the beginning I was the first option, but later, analysing the situation, I have the African Cup and because I'd miss a lot of games it was not possible. In addition, they had other options at the transfer level," Bono told Canal Sur Radio.
Bayern was another of the goalkeeper's suitors, but the offer made did not satisfy Sevilla: Bayern asked me to wait, that they were going to send an offer, but in the meantime other names came up, loans... And well, I understood that the clubs didn't want to spend.
"It is difficult for them to do it for 32-year-old players, like me."
