ESPN says Cristiano Ronaldo's Saudi Pro League club want to boost their attack further and have set their sights on Fernandes.
Al Nassr management see Fernandes as an excellent addition, but realise that such a transfer will be very difficult to pull off.
The Saudis are aware that United want to keep the 29-year-old, but still believe there is a chance if the bid can be high enough.
Fernandes is said to be unsettled at United and is weighing up his future at Old Trafford.
