Alaminos–San Pablo Bypass Road finished this year — Dizon

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) gave assurances that the Alaminos–San Pablo City Bypass Road Project in Laguna will be finished this year.

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said the bypass road project remained unfinished for nearly a decade largely due to unresolved right-of-way concerns.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the completion of the project amid calls from the local governments of Alaminos and San Pablo City to provide a faster alternative route for motorists traveling to Quezon Province and the Bicol Region.

“It’s been ten years already, and the only remaining problem is the right-of-way,” Dizon said after inspecting the project along with San Pablo City Mayor Arcadio Gapangada Jr. and Alaminos Mayor Eric Lopez.

The bypass road will provide faster travel for motorists and commuters and ease traffic congestion along the busy Maharlika Highway.
