Internationally renowned DJ and music producer, Alan Walker, has announced his return to Malaysia with a standalone concert as part of his ‘Walkerworld Asia Tour Part 2’. Scheduled for 8 November in Kuala Lumpur, this show will be a Southeast Asian exclusive, serving as a special tribute to his dedicated fans.
The announcement follows the cancellation of his earlier Malaysian concert on 22 June, which was part of ‘Walkerworld Asia Tour Part 1’. The initial show was called off due to a series of unforeseen challenges beyond the artist’s control. Walker’s upcoming performance is his way of keeping his promise to fans and expressing his appreciation for their unwavering support despite the June setback.
In addressing the previous cancellation, Alan’s team explained that the decision was not made lightly. Critical issues were discovered close to the original event date, including safety concerns with the stage setup and unresolved payment disputes with local vendors. To prioritise the safety of attendees and maintain professional standards, the tough choice was made to cancel the show.
Demonstrating his commitment to Malaysian fans, the 27-year-old DJ will personally finance the new concert, in order to ensure that the event not only takes place, but also ensures local vendors involved in the new show get compensated accordingly. Alan also promises to create an unforgettable experience for his fans.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want Malaysians to know they are valued and respected. If others fail to treat them right, I will be there to ensure they are. This isn’t just a concert – it’s a promise fulfilled, a bond strengthened, and a gesture of genuine love from me as an artist who truly cares for their fans,” Alan said in a statement.
In a gesture of goodwill, ticket holders from the June event will be given the opportunity to attend the new show and enjoy a 15% discount if they bring friends. Existing ticket holders must exchange their tickets and redeem discounts by 26 September through All-Access’s official website.
