Former AC Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini admits Paul Pogba's doping test has surprised him.
The Juventus midfielder has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for testosterone this week. Pogba has moved for a counter-analysis to be made.
Albertini said: "Every situation like this kind of surprises you, but we're waiting for the counter-analysis to understand what and how it happened."
Asked if doping is a problem in Italy, he added: "I think not and I don't say it superficially, but for the health protection that exists today.
"The footballer is the club's asset for which we need to pay attention."
