Aldi is about to launch a £50 dual air fryer to rival the Ninja foodi

Aldi has become a go-to store for much more than groceries. From treadmills and beauty tools to kitchen appliances, the supermarket’s range of ever-changing Specialbuys offers budget-friendly alternatives to popular products from big-name brands.

This week, Aldi will be restocking its sell-out dual-zone air fryer, which is more than £100 cheaper than Ninja’s double-drawer ‘foodi max’ design.

Similar to the Tower elite flexi-drawer air fryer (which retails for about £150), Aldi’s combi zone air fryer (£49.99, Aldi.co.uk) features one large drawer that can be separated into two with a divider. It boasts a 9l capacity, meaning it should be large enough and versatile enough to feed a family of three to four.

With a temperature range from 40C-200C and 10 preset programs, the air fryer even enables you to choose individual or simultaneous settings within the drawer’s chambers. It also boasts a digital LED display, preheat function, overheat protection function and it comes with a digital recipe book, which is accessible via a QR code.

For those with less kitchen space or fewer mouths to feed, Aldi is also launching a 3.5l single-drawer air fryer (£29.99, Aldi.co.uk). Both models come with a three-year warranty, for extra peace of mind. Keep scrolling to find out more.

When Rachael put this premium air fryer to the test, she was left impressed, awarding it the top spot in her review of the best dual air fryers. “It’s easy to use, with intuitive controls, and it has six distinct modes with total manual control. This means that you can select the method, time and then adjust the temperature as you see fit,” said Rachael.

“It’s the perfect choice if you want a range of functions to replace your traditional oven, including bake, roast and air fry, plus it reaches seriously high temperatures. The foodi max goes up to a whopping 240C and the max crisp function will ensure golden, crispy food every time.”

“I’ve cooked so many meals in the crispi pro that I’ve almost forgotten I have an oven,” said reviewer Rachael Penn. Giving this model the top spot in her guide to the best air fryers, Rachael said it “cooks brilliantly” and praised the air fryer’s overall design.

“The Ninja crispi pro is a unique looking machine thanks to a modular design, with glass bowls that act as the main drawer for the food. These come in two sizes: 5.7l and 2.3l. As well as being able to see how your food is cooking through the glass bowls, you can also put them in the fridge or freezer if you want to store leftovers.”
