Liverpool hero John Aldridge is convinced Erik ten Hag is on shaky ground at Manchester United.
Ten Hag eased some pressure on his shoulders with victory at Burnley.
But Aldridge wrote for the Sunday World: "If you wanted examples of how not to run football clubs, those two have provided it over the last few years.
"United have spent crazy amounts of money over the last few years and, while their fans always blame the owners for their problems, it runs deeper than that.
"It's toxic at that club and it has been for a long time.
"Players turn against every manager, and while Erik ten Hag has tried to put a few of the big egos in their place, he now has parts of his dressing room working against him.
"Mourinho had this problem at United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not up to solving the same issues.
"It's a mess from top to bottom and while I'm laughing at their expense as a Liverpool man, I suspect Ten Hag will be the next victim of their failings sooner rather than later."
