KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Electrical Association (PES) has appointed Aldrin Wong Fung Lyong as its new president for the 2026–2027 term, alongside a new board and committee.

Other key appointments include Danny Wong Yew Hoong (Vice President I), Simon Poh Chia Chun (Vice President II), Ho Shi Yin (Secretary) and Evon Ling Pei Hsia (Treasurer), with Woo Soo Poo as senior advisor and Lawrence Yapp Kong Fen as immediate past president.

Aldrin said PES will focus on strengthening the industry through three pillars: electrical knowledge, community economic development and environmental improvement.

Priorities include expanding membership, enhancing contractor compliance with regulatory bodies, and boosting technical knowledge and training.

He added that the association will roll out structured training programmes, collaborate with local institutions, and increase industry engagement through updates, networking events and annual gatherings, while emphasising teamwork and strong governance in driving long-term goals.
