MANILA, Philippines — Actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga announced Thursday that she is pregnant with her first child with husband Mikee Morada, sharing the news after enduring three miscarriages over nearly six years of marriage.
Gonzaga revealed the milestone through an Instagram post on May 21, accompanied by a video montage showing clips of her baby bump, as well as emotional moments from previous pregnancy losses and milestones shared with Morada.
In her post, Gonzaga reflected on their long and painful journey to parenthood.
“After almost 6 years of marriage and 3 heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord. While preparing for IVF, the Lord Jesus blessed us with a natural pregnancy,” she wrote.
She added that the couple is asking for continued prayers as they await their child.
“We want to thank everyone who prayed with us, hoped with us, and supported us through this journey to becoming parents. By God’s grace, our prayers have been answered, and we are finally going to be mommy and daddy,” she wrote.
"The Lord Jesus truly answers prayers. Please continue praying with us for a safe and healthy pregnancy until our baby arrives," she added.
As of posting, the couple has not disclosed how many months pregnant Gonzaga is.
Gonzaga and Morada were introduced in 2016 by actor Piolo Pascual and became a couple that same year. They got engaged in December 2019 and married in November 2020 after years of being together.
Their journey to parenthood has included multiple losses. In January 2025, Morada revealed during a vlog hosted by Gonzaga’s sister, actress-host Toni Gonzaga, that the couple had experienced their third miscarriage. Their first pregnancy loss occurred in 2021, followed by another in 2023.
