MANILA, Philippines — After years of hoping to become parents, Alex Gonzaga and her husband, Mikee Morada, have introduced their newborn son to the public, sharing the first glimpse of the baby’s face in a social media post.
Gonzaga shared an Instagram reel Wednesday showing intimate moments with Morada and their baby, including clips of them caring for their son and the first clear look at his face.
“Now there are three of us, with our very own little baby boy,” Gonzaga wrote in the caption.
The couple welcomed their first child on Aug. 27. Gonzaga later confirmed in her “My Pregnant Life” vlog that she had given birth earlier in August.
The baby’s arrival marks a significant milestone for the couple, who had previously experienced three pregnancy losses.
Gonzaga announced her pregnancy on May 21, through a video montage that included clips from her previous miscarriages and her growing baby bump. She said they had been preparing for in vitro fertilization when she became pregnant naturally.
“After almost six years of marriage and three heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord,” Gonzaga said in her announcement.
She added that their prayers to become “mommy and daddy” had finally been answered and asked followers to continue praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Morada publicly discussed their third pregnancy loss in a January 2025 interview with Gonzaga’s sister, Toni Gonzaga.
The couple’s friends from show business quickly filled the comments section of Gonzaga’s baby reveal with congratulatory messages including some from Jessy Mendiola, Isabelle Daza, Iya Villania Mariel Padilla, Gladys Reyes, Kim Molina, Maja Salvador, Ryza Cenon, Iza Calzado, Vina Morales, Carla Abellana and Luis Manzano.
Gonzaga and Morada were married in November 2020 in an intimate civil ceremony at the Gonzaga family home in Taytay, Rizal. They initially kept the wedding private before announcing it publicly in January 2021.
