MR D.I.Y. Malaysia celebrates Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 with the premiere of its latest festive web film, “Raya Sama-Sama - a touching and vibrant story that explores the beauty of forgiveness and the shared cultural ties between Malaysia and Indonesia.

Starring celebrated Malaysian singer and actor Alif Satar, the approximately five-minute web film features a special collaboration with renowned Indonesian stars Teuku Wisnu and Shireen Sungkar. The film continues MR D.I.Y.’s tradition of producing relatable, heart-led stories that resonate with the everyday lives of Malaysians.

Raya Sama-Sama follows the journey of Izzat (played by Alif Satar), a Malaysian professional working in Indonesia. As Raya approaches, a severe storm disrupts his journey home, shattering his hopes of returning to his wife in Malaysia in time for the birth of their first child. With no other options, Izzat reluctantly accepts an invitation to stay with his annoying coworker, Rian (Teuku Wisnu), and Rian’s wife (Shireen Sungkar).

Despite the initial chaos and misunderstandings, Izzat discovers Rian’s hidden depth and genuine kindness. The story culminates in a moving reconciliation between the two colleagues as Izzat welcomes the news of his newborn, proving that while traditions may differ slightly across borders, the spirit of Raya remains universal.
