Malaysia is working closely with Turkey to bring home all Malaysian activists who joined the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission and were detained by Israel.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the process may take one or two days.

Speaking to the media today (Oct 3), Anwar said he had reached out to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for assistance.

I have asked Erdogan to help bring the Malaysian activists to any border with Israel and then to Istanbul. From Istanbul, we will fly them back to Malaysia,” he explained.

Activists to leave on one plane

As reported by Buletin TV3, Anwar added that the Malaysian activists are expected to depart on the same flight from Israel together with Turkish activists who were also detained yesterday (Oct 2).
