Kota Kinabalu: Unregistered tahfizs in Sabah must do so with the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis) and Sabah Islamic Affairs Department (Jheains).
Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Dr Arifin Mohd Arif, who is also Sabah Islamic Affairs Exco, said they are identifying more such Islamic schools.
“More than 20 have been registered and there are more pending. We estimate there are less than 100 tahfizs in Sabah.
“We are calling on all tahfizs or madrasas to register so it’s easy to address needs like this Bisbah initiative and also annual zakat distributions.
