KUDAT: Parti Warisan has raised concerns over the sudden pay cuts affecting teachers in Sabah, blaming a new policy that calculates travel allowances based on a maximum straight-line distance of 25km instead of the actual routes taken by teachers to reach their schools.
Warisan Youth Chief Terence Au said the issue goes beyond technical adjustments and touches on the fairness, dignity and welfare of educators, especially those serving in rural areas.
“This is not just a technical issue. It is about justice, dignity, and the wellbeing of our teachers, who are the backbone of Sabah’s development,” he said in a statement.
