Allowing debate will benefit ‘heirs’: YB

Kota Kinabalu: The Government does not want the Sulu heirs claim issue discussed in parliament or State Assembly as it can be used against the country’s interests.

Pantai Dalit Assemblyman Jasnih Daya said during the recent Parliament and State Legislative Assembly sittings attempts to debate this issue were denied by the Speaker as it was under the Federal list, whereby international matters and security are the Federal Government’s purview.

“As far as we all know the motion to debate is rejected due to sub-judice. It is not the right time to take political mileage on this issue,” he said on his Facebook account.
