An Alto car (bearing registration number HP 38B-6002) stolen from a private garage in Ward No. 2 last January has been recovered from Madhopur, Punjab.
The vehicle’s owner, local resident Sameer Sahtora, had reported the theft by unknown culprits on January 8 last year. Following the complaint, a case was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Nurpur police station.
The police traced the car using technical evidence and have initiated further legal proceedings in this connection.
