Amber Alert issued for missing six-month-old who is in ‘extreme danger’

  • An Amber Alert has been issued for missing six-month-old Devaeyah Lucas-Bell in Indiana, and police say she is in extreme danger.
  • The Hammond Police Department issued the alert for little Devaeyah in Hammond, Indiana, which is 163 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
  • “The victim, Devaeyah Lucas-Bell, is a 6 month old Black female, 22 inches tall, 16 pounds, black hair with brown eyes, and last seen wearing a white shirt and brown pants. Devaeyah was last seen on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 4:20 a.m. in Hammond, Indiana and is believed to be in extreme danger,” Indiana State Police wrote.
  • The statement continued, “The suspect, Deandry Sabbs, is a 31 year old Black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 208 pounds, black hair with brown eyes, last seen wearing unknown clothing, and driving a gray 4-door Nissan sedan with unknown Illinois plates.”
