
- Two South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) workers have been arrested as part of a two-year police investigation into six deaths in Wiltshire.
- A man in his 30s was arrested in June 2024 on suspicion of six counts of gross negligence manslaughter and four counts of ill-treatment or wilful neglect by a care worker.
- A 59-year-old woman was arrested in March on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
- Both individuals, who were employed by SWASFT, have been released on bail while the police investigation continues.
- SWASFT initiated an internal investigation, suspended the two staff members (one is no longer employed), and stated there is no ongoing risk to patients.
