Kuala Lumpur: A group of American aviation experts are reportedly here to assist local authorities in its investigations into Thursday's private jet crash that killed 10 people including everyone on board the plane, the police said.
Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim reportedly said the experts will help determine the cause of the crash.
“They are expected to examine the wreckage, which is by the road shoulder along Persiaran Elmina on Monday. Until then we will station personnel at the scene to conduct 24-hour surveillance to ensure it remains undisturbed,” he told The Star.
“The cockpit voice recorder (CVR) has also been retrieved and all evidence at the scene has been tagged,” he added.

Read more He also said all human remains and personal belongings of the victims had been cleared and all evidence from the scene had been tagged including the cockpit voice recorder.
A Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) light business jet aircraft flying from Langkawi to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang crashed at about 2.50pm Thursday, killing the six passengers and two crew on board, as well as a motorcyclist and a motorist on the ground.
Pahang Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green Technology Committee chairman Datuk Seri Johari Harun was among the passengers in the ill-fated plane.
The son-in-law of Johor Corporation (JCorp) president and chief executive Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim was among the victims.
The ill-fated aircraft was on its way from Langkawi to Subang and had been cleared to land at 2.48pm before it plunged to the ground exploding in a ball of flame.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed that apart from Johari, also on the flight manifest were two pilots Shahrul Kamal Roslan and Heikal Aras Abdul Azim, as well as five other passengers namely, Kharil Azwan Jamaludin, Shaharul Amir Omar, Mohamad Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki and Idris Abdol Talib @ Ramali.
Following that, Fire and Rescue Department’s Shah Alam Zone deputy chief Samsol Maarof Saibani said the crash site at Persiaran Elmina has been cleared.
