Aminuddin: PKR elections a platform for healthy competition, fulfilling people’s aspirations

DATUK Seri Aminuddin Harun has confirmed he will defend his vice-presidency in the upcoming PKR elections for the 2025–2028 term, scheduled to take place on 23 May in Johor.

In a Facebook post today, the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar and Chairman of the state PKR leadership council (MPN) described the party polls as a platform for healthy democratic competition that must be approached with a broad perspective to meet the challenges of national politics and public expectations.

“Leadership elected must be committed to serving as a bridge between the grassroots and the party’s top leadership, strengthening the organisational structure, and driving the reform agenda which is the core of Keadilan’s struggle,” he said.

Aminuddin, who also leads the Port Dickson division, emphasised that the 2025 party election is more than a contest for positions—it is an opportunity to consolidate the party’s foundation, reignite the spirit of reform, and unite the team in facing future challenges, including the next general election.

“I am confident that the Keadilan 2025 Election is not merely about filling posts, but a chance to strengthen the party’s core struggle, energise the reform movement, and tighten unity in preparation for upcoming battles,” he said.

He urged all party members to remain united, uphold the principles of justice, and choose leaders who can carry the people’s voice with integrity and trust.

The national leadership elections will be conducted via two methods: physical voting by delegates of the PKR National Congress, Youth (AMK), and Women’s wings, at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel and Danga Bay Convention Centre in Johor Bahru.

Delegates in Sabah and Sarawak will cast their votes in person at the International Technology and Commercial Centre (ITCC) in Penampang and the Penview Convention Centre in Kuching.

Meanwhile, ordinary and additional delegates to the Congress, AMK and Women’s wings will vote online through the ADIL application on the same day and time. - May 10, 2025
