RANAU: The actions of certain quarters who label the migration of members from one party to another as ‘frogs’ are inappropriate, said Parti Gagasan Rakyat Rakyat (PGRS) Paginatan Chief, Datuk Amisah Yassin.

“Some individuals label members from other parties such as Umno and Warisan to become members of PGRS as ‘frogs’. It is a big mistake to equate their actions with animals that don’t have a mind,” she said.

She added that many people decided to join PGRS today because they believe that the migration they are doing is because they want something better. Amisah received a membership form from a new supporter of PGRS Dun Paginatan

“The parties we joined in the past were good, and we are grateful for the previous leadership’s willingness to give us shelter once before.

She added that the political situation in Sabah is at a stage where the people need development and they are tired of the extreme political pattern with the duration of politics all the time.

“Sabah needs a stable political system to ensure that the agenda planned by the Government can be implemented without worrying about the risk of the government changing every time,” she said.

She said this while officiating the Inaugural Ceremony of the Establishment Meeting of the PGRS Party Libang Ranau Branch.

Meanwhile, Amisah reminded the members of the Divisional Sponsorship Committee that was formed not long ago to work hard to ensure that more branches with many members can be established.

“In addition, the strength of the party with many members is a benchmark that the party is a party that fulfils the sentiments and aspirations of the people who now want the state to be led by a local party with a combination of state leadership that is liked by many,” she said.

Amisah also received application forms from 25 new members submitted by Jahili Saridi in Kg Libang Ranau.

Also present were Divisional Treasurer, Mahali Yusin, Information Chief, Jamian Manan, Youth Chief, Al Ayubi Datuk Hj Jirin, Beliawanis Chief, Iszyan Qitrinada Jamian and also members of the Paginatan Divisional Committee.
