Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, has begun admissions for the 2026–27 academic session for more than 130 programmes offered at the undergraduate, post-graduate, diploma, and certificate levels across its main and regional campuses. Vice-Chancellor Karamjeet Singh said GNDU, from this year, would also offer a completely digitised admission process. The university had set up AI labs, quantum labs and added more online distance learning courses, he added.
“GNDU is continuously expanding its academic portfolio through innovative, research-driven, and career-oriented programmes designed to meet the evolving needs of students and industries alike. The admission process has been designed to be transparent, student-friendly, and easily accessible for applicants from across India, and abroad. We have a help desk that would provide complete guidance and support for the admission process,” he said.
Dean (Academic Affairs) Harvinder Singh Saini said the university was offering programmes supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. These would be available at the GNDU main campus in Amritsar, as well as at its regional campuses in Jalandhar and Gurdaspur, he added.
Online registration for all programmes commenced on May 8 through the university admission portal. Detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, admission schedules, fee structure, scholarships, and provisions for foreign/NRI candidates is available in the university prospectus and the official website. Admissions for the LLB (3-year) and BA LLB (5-year) programmes will be conducted through centralised counselling. Separate notifications regarding PhD admissions will be issued later.
