Amy Dowden encouraged everyone to turn up to their mammograms as she praised Shirley Ballas for using her platform to raise awareness of cancer.
In an interview with Lorraine Kelly, the Strictly Come Dancing star, 33, said she was “so relieved” that Ballas was doing okay after her scare.
Dowden was diagnosed with Grade 3 breast cancer in May last year and has been working to raise awareness of the disease for the last 12 months.
She shared back in February that her latest check-up showed “no sign of the disease”.
“Please, everybody, make sure that you turn up to your mammograms,” Dowden said.
